It is quiet for the first several hours. Rio falls asleep quickly curled up next to Glow and dreams of Eric. He's travelling with the old man. He's releiving himself in the forest when Angstrom appears behind him and backstabs him for major damage. There's a battle between the two. Eric hits him and gets hit by magic. The battle continues, an occurance Angstrom does not seem prepared for, and after Eric hits him again, holy battle ferver in his eyes, the mage screams 'HOME' and vanishes. The druid wakes up in a sweat, not remembering, only to find Raagnar discussing the same dream with Dre. He's dreamed it also and she later in the evening has it also. Rio is encouraged and returns to sleep.

Raagnar at one point hears creatures pass by the door. After an uneventful night Rio is thinking of Eric when for some reason he pours a bit of water out onto the floor forming a small pool. Eric's face appears in the pool, he's wounded but greets us and speaks of Angstroms attack against him. Tyr has told him that we are close to Angstroms hole and wishes us luck in our battle against him. The vision fades before Rio can try to speak and we are left with the feeling that Eric and Tyr are still here with us. (Bless for the day). Soon after Dre hears a scuttling scruffling noise outside the door. She hears a large object hit the floor outside the door and then scuttle off. She opens the door and peeks out catching a glimpse of a LARGE white giant rat retreating down the cooridoor. The object left is Raagnars sword in a beautiful new scaled scabbard. He examines it and says it is indeed his and Rio casts 'Detect Evil'. Neither are. We set the marching order and begin what hopefully is Angstrom's final day.

We travel back to our original path and head in coming quickly to a door that is locked and trapped. Making it look VERY easy Dre disarms the trap and unlocks the door retrieving what look to be poison needles. Reaching the river we check out the possible passages across. Elrin uses a fly scroll on himself and carries Raagnar across. They make a short recon further in and spot a black rock tower on an island in the center of a cavern dimly lit by phosphoresent moss on the walls. Returning, Elrin ferries us all across the river and then as he is taking Raagnar and Dre onto the island spots several large crossbows mounted on the top of the tower. Fortunatly the guards on duty do not spot them and they set down quickly near the tower base. Then deciding to dispatch the guards they fly up for a surprise attack that isn't. Elrin drops Raagnar onto one of them and a short battle ensues vs. a small human woman and a gnome in plate mail.

MELEE

One of the guards manages to briefly sound the alarm before being killed and Elrin returns quickly to carry the rest of us across to the rooftop. There is a trapdoor leading down. Suddenly Angstrom appears behind us.

MELEE

Glow begins Molecular Agitation, Elrin goes for a scroll, Rio and Raagnar attack, Beccah tries to open trapdoor and Dre helps her. They still can't open it. Angstroms spell causes a large hail storm and does lots of damage against us. Raagnar and Elrin get good hits in against him and Angstrom goes down. Elrin cuts off his head, Raagnar takes his scalp and Rio takes his rings. Rio casts 'Cure Serious' on Beccah. Wanting to make sure of our victory Beccah users her 'Hat of Disguise' to look like Angstrom and Elrin is able to yank open the trapdoor. A small fireball goes off and the two are slightly damaged by the flame. Beccah uses one of her 'Necklace of Missles' and tosses it down at the four men below. It goes off in a huge blast which blows the trapdoor back open. Raagnar leaps in ready to do battle dropping 20 feet and landing with a thud. Only one of the four is still alive and Raagnar and Elrin, who has flown in, attacks him. Rio climbs down warning Glow, Beccah and Dre that the rungs are still very hot. Rio, now down in the room, hits for good damage and the elf crumples surrendering. Raagnar kills him. Dre, Beccah and Elrin check the bodies thoroughly. There are two hidden doors leading out of this room. A quiet chiming sound is coming from behind one of them. It turns out to be a winged cat in a cage The chiming is from a small bell on the cat's collar. Rio tries animal frindship but the spell fails because it has above animal intelligence. Elrin bends the bars of the cage and it climbs out and comes over to the druid rubbing up against his legs. Rio picks it up and casts cure light wounds on it. We search the room, a bedroom, carefully and find an ornate wooden box under the bed. Raagnar tries to open it setting off another fire trap. Elrin and Raagnar smash the box open revealing several books, a potion and two sacks which contain treasure. Rio takes a pillow case and sets of to retrieve Angstrom's dagger. There are several new humans in the smaller room and they immediatly attack Rio when he rounds the corner.

MELEE

One of them has a scimitar, the other a long sword. They are dispatched with some effiency and we search the bodies. Dre and Glow hold back from the battle. Glow makes sure the cat is safe.
