After spending a lovely evening engaged in the pleasurable pursuits with Dervorgilla, Handeldor awakens refreshed and happy and springs up out of bed with a somersault. Dervorgilla rolls her eyes at the show of exuberence and pulls the covers over her head. Handeldor will have none of this and reaches under the covers from the foot of the bed and tickles his evening lovers feet just as he hears the tolling of eight bells.

"Oh let me sleep." Devorgilla pleads. "Just five more minutes."

Handledor smiles and goes off to make something to eat. He takes his time and whips up a lovely breakfast which he brings to Dervorgilla in bed. She smiles and sits up and the two enjoy their morning meal. Afterward, Dervorgilla gets dressed and heads for her morning duties at Arkans Invokatorium, the sorcery school, but before she does Handeldor catches her at the door for a kiss.

"I hope I can see you again." He says with a twinkle in his eye.

"You might," she says with a wink. "You might."

After Dervorgilla has left Handledor straightens up a bit and then heads over to Kyle and Khondrapere's apartment. When he gets there he finds the dwarf examining a note that was attached to his door.

"What's it say?"

"It is a note from the grocers."  Khondrapere explains. "It seems we have missed the morning delivery."

"Oh." Handeldor looks at the dwarf who appears to be a bit, but not too badly, under the bottle. "You want me to go tell them you're back and they can deliver?'

"Ya sure, why don't you do that." the dwarf grumbles.

With that the gnome scampers off to the Fruitful Grove Grocers and lets the man behind the counter that Khondrapere apologies for not being awake for the delivery attempt and would they please deliver as soon as possible. With the message delivered Handeldor hurries back to the apartment and it is only a few moments later that there is another knock on the door.  After paying the two delivery lads for the groceries Handeldor helps to sort the groceries and finds the potions and scrolls carefully hidden beneath the food stuffs.

Khondarpere, Handeldor and Kyle head off to Rockhaven to find out about visiting Khondrapere's Aunt Pretty Foot. Heading down into Underhunt we go to the popular restaurant where Khondrapere recognises the bartender.  After the purchase of a couple of turkey legs and some pints of stout we find out that Khon's family lives in the upper class portion of Underhome and after finishing up our lunch go off in the direction indicated by the barkeep. We get to a point where there's a guard at a portcullus but Khondrapere identifies himself and tells the guard that we have come to pay our respects to a family member and he lets us right through.

We get to Khondrapere's Aunt's house and the two look to be wrestling as they hug each other in greeting. She tells us what she was told of the murder and the project that Truestone was working on.

Stoneyard was Tegerenyn's foreman, but he was not being used for this secret project. Marona knows that Tegerenyn was being paid incredibly well but becasue of nature of the project was not employing hes usual crew. He was murdered in tunnel leading to UnderHome. Suspected work location was near river because he came home smelled musty. There is an interesting vault door in the study work room with interesting lock consisting of three tear shaped knobs and three levers. Handledor pays close attention as Marona opens the door with an exact set of movements of the levers and knobs.

1) Gold lever moved up
2) Bronze knob turns left twice
3) Brass lever moved down
4) Copper knob turns right once
5) Brass lever back to center
6) Gold lever back to center
7) Platinum knob pushed in.

Funeral this evening. Meet at temple at seven bells.

With Marona's permission we start looking through tubes hoping to find something that will indicate what he was working on and give us a place to start in our investigation. All tubes contain old blueprints. Chests contain treasure. Khondrapere doesn't find anything unusual, nor does Kyle. They ask Handeldor if he would check to check but he finds nothing. We also ask Marona if she will search, since she knows that there was some secret place in the vault, but she also finds nothing.

After spending several hours in UnderHunt we return to the surface to get ready for the funeral. We meet with Klye and Jade on the road and then head for the Palace district and the temple in UnderPalace for the funeral. Before we reach the entrance into UnderPalace we run into a woman that Marton knows, a fellow Cleric of Helm named Mianne, who is drop dead gorgeous. Handeldor kisses her hand in introduction.

We arrive at the funeral just a few minutes late and we can hear the singing and stomping from well outside. Truestone is laid in a bier near the entrance so that those attending to pay their respect. At the funeral there is song and drink and stories of Truestone. Afterward Handeldor tells Marona that her touching story of how she and Truestone met has sparked the flame of anger within him and that he somewhat feels the need to help avenge the death.

"Should you ever need anything or find out anything that you think might help don't hesitate to let us know."

Marona thanks Handeldor for his offer and that if anything does come up she will inform us. After the ceremony Khondrapere and Handeldor return to Khondrapere's apartment, Khondrapere to get some things together prior going to stay at his aunts house and Handeldor because he isn't up for another late night. When we get there Handeldor lights the large white candle and places it in the appropriate window.

"I'll stay for the messenger if you want to get back to your aunt's house." Handeldor offers.

"Thank you my friend." Khondrapere says. "I would like to get going."

Just before Khondrapere is ready to actually walk out the door there comes a knock on the back door, it's Feramus. We tell him about Stoneyard being missing and that Truestone was working on some secret project for which he was not using his regular foreman or crew. Stoneyard had visited Truestone on the night he was murdered and was left at his home while Truestone left on some job related errand. Then, apparently after wrestling with himself for a while, Stoneyard had told Marona that "He couldn't do it, he couldn't let Truestone face the danger alone." and had set off after him. He has not been seen since.

Feramus promises to find out what he can and will let us know at our next meeting. After Feramus leaves Khondrapere and Handledor say goodnight and Khondrapere, after showing him where the spare key is, leaves Handeldor to lock up.

Look into halfling messenger. Try to find out about Stoneyard and/or other members of his regular crew. Investigate the area where the body was found as that would seem to be somewhere around where "Dark Hall" was.
