Chris: DM
Kathi: Tanji & Krysylys
JC: Neysa & Ana
The campaign begins in Myrtul (the month of May) in a small community called Loudwater which is a popular outpost on a major trade route. Loudwater is a fairly prosperous town with a relatively large population of half elves and Halflings, not too surprising given the relatively close proximity of Silverymoon. The River Shining flows through the town and it is well defended with a large wall surrounding it. It is 1373, the Year of the Rouge Dragon, and the incessant raids from the NE have diminished in number and intensity over the course of the past year.
Our group consists of Tanji, a diminutive Halfling Rogue, Krysylys, a Moon Elf Bard/Fighter/Sorcerer, Neysa, a Gold Elf Cleric of Corellon Larethian, and Ana, a Gold Elf Fighter and follower and companion of Neysa. We have adventured together for several years.
Ana and Neysa have known each other since early childhood and are bound together by an event that neither speaks of. Neysa met Krysylys at Everdusk Hall in Silverymoon and the two have become good friends. It is because of this friendship that Ana, who previously was disdainful of all the other races, has opened up to Krysylys. It was a slow process at first but now he counts the Moon Elf as a friend as well, partly because of her unwavering dedication to becoming a Bladesinger, and partly because of the beauty that the duets sung by Neysa and Krysylys evoke in his heart and mind.
We met Tanji a few years later when she was discovered as a stowaway in Ana's backpack. The scene would've been fairly ugly had not Neysa determined that Tanji meant no harm and stayed Ana's hands from trying to throttle diminutive lass. Fortunately, Tanji seemed to have no interest in Ana's backpack, or any of his other possessions, and the incident was smoothed over by Neysa's considerable skills at diplomacy (while Krysylys tried VERY hard to keep a straight face).
We came to Loudwater from Silverymoon because Tanji knows of an old Sage, a man named Illandar, who is frequently in need of information and uses adventurers like ourselves to obtain it for him because his age, considerable girth and temperament prevent him from even moderate physical activity. Although we've been in Loudwater for over a year waiting, Illandar has still not sent word that he's ready to continue with his arcane research by having us pursue some new lead. We understand this is coming (at least Tanji seems assured it is) but don't really know when.
